    KidConnect

    KidConnect is a social networking application that I developed for the HCI lab at Boise State University (BSU). It was designed and developed to be used by children (ages 7 - 12). Some of the major functionalites of KidConnect are: creating, commenting on and sharing of post, friending, direct messaging and group creation. It laid a groundwork for further research at BSU to examine how children interact and share information with their peers within social media. The live application is used for collecting data from child subjects within lab settings due to which I am not allowed to show the working demo of the application.     CryptoApp

    A react application to find information and current news of various cryptocurrencies. This application fetches data on cryptocurrencies and recent news regarding those cyrptocurrencies using various api sources. The front end was designed using Ant Design.

    Covid Data Visalization

    This application visualizes covid data. There is a line chart visualization in the homepage where we can select countries to see information relating to total covid cases, recovered cases and death cases. There is a world map visualization where we can hover over countries to find information on covid cases for that particular country. This worldmap puts into perspective where in the world covid has mostly affected.

    About Me

    I recently graduated with a master's degree in Computer Science from Boise State University. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate years, I've programmed in several languages. I was a part of the HCI lab at Boise State University where we worked with a group of children (ages 7 to 12) to create technologies for children and lead research concerning children's online privacy, information sharing behavior, information search, etc. For my master's project, I developed "KidConnect" - a social media platform built using React and Firebase which will be put into future research to study children's information sharing behavior. With the completion of this project, I have grown a liking to web development (frontend and backend) and am looking for opportunites to grow my web development skills.
